Smoke sauna experiences at Uue-Saaluse Winery
At Uue-Saaluse Winery, guests can visit an archaic wood-fired smoke sauna built at the beginning of the 20th century. The sauna originally belonged to the manor workers’ house of Uue-Saaluse Manor.
It is located right on the lakeshore, making it easy to step straight from the sauna into the water for a refreshing swim in summer or take a dip in the ice hole in winter.
In 2003, the short film “The Devil Comes to the Sauna” by Peeter Urbla and Andres Maimik was filmed in this very sauna. The film can be watched on site.
Uue-Saaluse Winery offers two sauna packages (self-guided and guided sauna experiences), which are combined with one of the winery’s visitor packages.
