Located on the shore of Lake Näkijärv, Vana-Kaasiku smoke sauna is one of the largest in Estonia and invites you to take your time and enjoy the sauna experience without rushing. The smoke sauna is heated for almost half a day, creating a wonderfully soft and gentle heat. Enjoy the steam, try traditional whisking with birch branches, and cool off in the lake between sauna sessions. The sauna can accommodate up to 20 people at a time. Next to the sauna is the cosy Teetare (Tea House), where guests can enjoy refreshments and relax on sheepskins.
Vana-Kaasiku also offers guided smoke sauna journeys with sauna hostess Maia Pruul. A sauna journey is much more than simply going to the sauna – it is an opportunity to slow down, focus on yourself and discover traditional sauna customs. The sauna hostess guides guests through the different stages of the smoke sauna experience, creating space for both body and mind to rest.
Vana-Kaasiku also hosts community sauna evenings, keeping alive the old tradition of going to the sauna not only to enjoy the heat, but also to meet people, share stories and spend time together.
